He should have paid respects to a national hero then fucked off. The men and women who gave their lives for this country would be rolling in their graves if they could see what passes for leadership these days.
As above, so below.

I don’t think Michael Collins would have agreed with a lot of Fine Gaels current policies. Especially their management of the housing crisis..
I see Fine Gael being so far removed from him these days.

Micheal Collins was so good. Liam Neeson is great. They should make a sequel.

>There is a small group of people who want a country whose history has been woven by mass emigration to diminish the value of migration.
What does he mean by this, precisely? I thought it was widely acknowledged that our history of mass outward migration has been to our detriment? Why would you use this as a way of promoting migration?

it’s interesting that he says this because let’s be honest here
Michael Collins if he was resurrected today and you explained to him what’s been going on in the last 102 years he would want the entire Dail shot for Treason

The irony of Harris calling out misinformation when the government were shown to be withholding material information that was in the public interest in relation to advice they had received about the referendums.
They deliberately misled the public in the hope of progressing the result they were advocating for. Dodgy behaviour.

I don’t mean any disrespect or anything. But I was told some years back that Beal na Bláth (or surrounding areas) is used by doggers.
Anyone know that’s true?

>On housing, Harris said it is Fine Gael’s view that every generation should be better off than the one before and once again pledged that 250,000 homes will be delivered over the next five years.
That pencil necked chinless West Brit dweeb would more likely have been working for the British civil service and dodging bullets from Collins lads then involved in any first Dáil. It’s frankly insulting to hear the likes of him orate at such events.

That’s 2 young Fine Gaelrs in a row making the speeches at the same site.

Couldn’t warm to Harris at all as a minister but I think he’s a decent Taoiseach.
Sometimes he chimes in when he’d be better off taking a step back but I put that down to experience. We could do a lot worse.

Nobody vote for him to be Taoiseach to be honest … let’s have an election.

I seem to remember Fine Gael claiming Michael Collins as one of there’s with some commemorative pins recently. Some irony in that.

“My ~~misinformation~~ propaganda good, ‘their’ ~~misinformation~~ propaganda bad.”
The dictionary definitions of misinformation/disinformation need updating, to reflect their colloquial usage:
“Propaganda – but excluding propaganda from those in power.”
It’s always class to see the Southern hypocrisy continue without question.
Old IRA good.
