On May 10-11 of this year, a powerful solar storm hit the Earth, creating a fantastic display over Yellowstone. The crescent moon with earthshine sets below the Big Dipper. I live in Bozeman and made a last second decision to spend the night in the Park. This was one of my favorite images from the night.
