I picked elderberries today to make syrup and tea, but when I started googling it said that the unripe berries are poisonous. I wonder HOW immature it has to be to be poisonous? If some are black and some are dark red, do I have to throw away all the ones I picked or can I just keep going? Note: I live in Stockholm, in case they are not ripe enough this end of August.

Dem svarta är mogna. Plocka bort dem andra. Bara kör pÃ¥… Vi gör alltid en sirap med dessa. En mat sked varje dag under höst och vintertid. Väldigt mycket vitaminer.
