Not counting the fact that Walz coined the term “weird” for this weird GOP ticket.

I feel like they, especially Vance, are now stuck in the loop of trying to prove they aren’t “weird” by being trying to be conspicuously normal. Which of course comes off as weird as all hell. And so they get called weird more; the loop repeats.

It’s funny but I don’t see T-V’s problem with Walz related to masculinity (today’s issue) but rather I think it’s that his character/persona is hard to assail or get at. Does he even have a weak point? If he does, he has no trouble owning it. And the guy is both funny and pugnacious.

>“The [Democratic convention] is definitely low energy and low impact, with Democrats screaming and yelling with no message other than disgusting personal attacks and outright lies. Contrast that with the [Republican convention] and **President Trump who has offered a positive vision for America**,” Steven Cheung, Trump campaign communications director, said in a statement to the Hill on Friday.

Everything drives the weirdos nuts. They are perpetually angry, bitter, humorless and with zero personality. Walz is the anthesis to JD though and the debate if they debate it will be popcorn-worthy.

AOC pointing out this fact is going to make them even more nuts. lol.

Every day His Sliminess gets a little further behind. A month ago he thought he was going to get to be the world’s most brutal dictator, like his spirit animal, Kim Jong Un, and torture whoever he wants.
Now he’s going to lose. He’ll say crazier things every day and he’ll make his situation worse. I’m relishing it.

AOC has been doing a great job refining her national brand recently.
And still only 34 years old. It might take another decade or two for America to catch up to her politics, but I think she’s gonna be a serious national contender in the future. Just needs to bide her time a bit.

AOC is gonna be the new Pelosi eventually.

LMAO at Trump’s communications director calling the DNC “definitely low energy and low impact”. You know they saw the viral comparisons of the anemic RNC roll call with DJ Cassidy/Lil Jon etc

Kamala and Walz have been making me think of what the party has become now, not letting republicans just amplify something insignificant anymore to the point it harms them. Walz emotional son, a dui in the 90s. Kamala laughing and smiling. We don’t care. This isn’t the party that let the Dean Scream derail someone’s career anymore. They don’t have the substance to attack them on, and the potshots aren’t working.

I simply cannot believe that just saying “weird” seems to actually BOTHER Trump. He couldn’t be more thin-skinned. This is only working because Trump can’t stop talking about it too.
I love it.

Not only that. Their twisted ideology is that they are part of a silent majority, that what they believe about things like hierarchy are natural and righteous.
For them to be wierd it undercuts the foundation of their entire identity.

OK, I have nothing against AOC or whatever. But I’m finding some of these comments to be a strange disconnect with the general consensus that we need term limits and need to get rid of career politicians. It’s usually levied at moderates, while progressives get a pass.
I mean, Bernie has been in elected office for over 40 years, and involved in politics for over 50 years. Yet the same young folks who claim to be tired of career politicians don’t seem to have a problem with him, judging from how they voted in the 2016 and 2020 primaries. There’s a comment here saying AOC for VP 2033-2041 and president 2041-2049. She will have been in politics for 30 years by that point, which is nearly as long as Nancy Pelosi has been in Washington. Is that what we want?
I’m trying to reconcile these two.
Personally, I have no problem with career politicians. Effectively shepherding legislation and whipping votes take experience. Biden’s decades in the Senate set him up nicely to overcome its filibuster on multiple occasions. Obama’s one signature legislation required 59 Dems in the Senate to get through, which will never happen again. But I know I’m in the minority here.

Walz got them in the trap perfectly and with such a simple trick. Call them weird (which they are). Force them to try to prove they’re not weird. Make them look EVEN MORE WEIRD.
Trump and Vance can not escape the trap. It’s perfect.
