  1. Why would anyone, after doing even the minimum of research into the working conditions and public perception. Surrounding living in the UK and working for the NHS/Social care.

All while their home grown are bailing out at unheard of levels.

    High cost of living.
Poor pay in comparison to other nations.
    Poor working hours and conditions.
    Poor continuation of training opportunities.
A public that very overtly critical of everything with a massive blame culture.
    Little to zero respect.
    Emotional blackmail and exploitation.
    Crab bucket mentality.
A media that actively hate everything about you.
    Can’t bring families.
    Pay to work.

To name a few things on a long list of to hell with that noise.

The NHS offers very little in comparison to what it was 14 years ago. And social care is more like how to be exploited 101.

  2. The ascension event is coming . There is no need to recruit anybody. We must simply gather with our friends and family and activate our parthing orbs.

  3. Yes the country is fkd , why would any immigrant legally want to come to this country to be treated the way they are.

Coincidentally the drop off occurred after the Tories told them they couldn’t bring their families with them.

Like no shit Sherlock. Being separated from loved ones can be brutal on most people, given the options they are gonna work in other countries even if the money is less.

They’re all going to work for Deliveroo and parcel delivery companies. We’re literally importing an underclass.

  6. Despite the thousands that came there is still a massive short fall in carers and NHS workers. According to the Kings Fund as tens of thousands immigrated to work in care, thousands of domestic UK carers left the profession leaving vacancies fairly stagnant overall. Propping up the sector with immigration isn’t the answer.

  7. All those rioting will celebrate this as a win. Then, when they need hospital treatment or have to go into a care home they will be moaning about the waiting lists and cost of care.

Here’s a fucking thought, let’s not pay these people bare minimum and we wouldn’t be relying on poor immigrants who are willing to work for shite money. We could fill the NHS and social care with brits if we paid a decent wage.

  9. Honestly. If I’d just seen a load of footage of rioting over foreigners in a country, I’d be reluctant to go there.

  10. Wonder if it’s anything to do with the [Home Office removing the ability](https://www.hrmagazine.co.uk/content/news/skilled-worker-sponsors-face-licence-crackdown/) for dodgy companies to sponsor applicants for bogus care work.

    >From March 2024, care providers in England were told that they could not sponsor new care workers under the skilled worker route unless they are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). From the same date, newly sponsored carers could no longer bring their family members to the UK.

    >The measures follow a report from David Neal, former independent chief inspector of borders and immigration (ICIBI), which described the implementation of care visas as “shocking”.

    >It found a case of 275 certificates of sponsorship being granted to a care home that did not exist, and 1,234 certificates being granted to a company that stated it had only four employees when given a licence.

Maybe if we accept foreign qualifications that bar African and Middle Eastern doctors and nurses we could solve this? Then we would be able to staff hospitals with the best African care at an affordable price

First and foremost having worked in both social care and the NHS they are terrible places to work and you are treated like shit and paid comically and when things go wrong they were always push it down to the bottom rather than taking responsibility as management. Secondly the UK is extremely expensive to live in compared to other countries which are expensive to live in but have high wages and good social services.

  13. I’ve worked in a care home full of dementia cases, not as a carer.

Staff there were 80% Pilipino, a couple of really useless teenagers and a couple of middle aged women.

The staff from the Philippines were excellent, really respected the old folks as that’s a big part of their culture. Oldies were always well dressed and clean, well fed and watered at all times.

Went back recently. Staff are now 80% useless teenagers who really don’t want to be there and the rest incompetents from an agency. Old folk now dressed in hoodies and sweatpants and look absolutely filthy. Nobody was taking their time feeding them at lunch and I doubt anyone bothered to give them regular drinks.

The only way that these places are going to get decent staff is through immigration. Even if the wages were doubled its going to be hard to find anyone with the dedication to look after these people properly.
