    >*accused* ***for*** *inappropriate behavior*

The Daily Mail is the largest and most lucrative News site on Earth

I’ll save you the click. There are no further details in the article.

ETA: According to the related BBC article, the complaints come from within the workplace.

  3. Apparently dropped by his agent as well, which suggests a major story is going to break soon.

  4. Wonder if this is the BBC wanting to come down harder on these things after what happened with Huw Edwards

Was the inappropriate behaviour being not very good at his job but also commanding an exorbitant salary?

In this day and age “inappropriate behaviour” could be anything from being a nonce to committing wrongthink.

This guy always came across like a teacher’s pet. Seemed far too nice. I wonder what the compliant was about.

He’s currently presenting on TalkSport right now.

Discussing rumours about Eric ten Hag being sacked by Xmas.

I wonder if it’s pre-recorded earlier in the day. He seems oddly unaware of his own sacking.

Poor guy if it wasn’t the the backlash over recent and non-so recent events at the BBC he would be due a knighthood and £200k pay rise.

Why can these people not just be normal and keep taking home the massive paycheque?

  11. Obviously hope whatever victim is about is alright, but I won’t be sad to see Jenas go. I can only assume he was hired for a couple of reasons – he was cheap (at least at the time) and he fit the *profile* of what networks like the BBC like to accelerate up the chain

I don’t know a single person who enjoys his football analysis, nor likes him presenting on the One Show. And they’re pretty different sectors!

The fact he got paid £190,000 is a crime in itself. He’s shockingly bad as a co-commentator and pundit.

Can we wait and see what the actual details are for why he was sacked rather than slandering his name without knowing anything not surface level?

Aside from whatever inappropriate behaviour specifically that is not mentioned, £190,000 for being mediocre at his job is wild. He was a dire pundit and dreadful co-commentator.

  15. InvisibleMan90 on

He’s talked about other’s inappropriate behaviour a few times on various formats, not shocking to see he was all talk.

  16. BromleyReject on

Will he still be doing ‘Luxury Billionaire Portaloos with Sue Perkins’ on Channel 5 next week?

He’s presenting on Talksport at the moment. Obviously, it doesn’t matter to them.

  18. Terrible pundit and presenter anyway. Always came off as a bit overly serious to me. Wonder what he did.

I have always absolutely hated his commentary and his punditry. Have no idea what he’s like as a bloke, but as a Chelsea fan, every time he has to commentate or be a pundit on our games, his spurs glasses just cannot be taken off. He is just so incredibly biased and so so often just categorically removes any sense of critical thinking in his commentary.

It’s like when someone could say ‘I think that could be a red’ but instead says ‘that’s definitely a red’ – unless there is certainty, don’t say the second sentence or it’s going to piss people off. He does it ALL the time and 90% of the time it’s on a purely subjective moment in the match. I just hate that commentary and this has made my day to see his career suffer somewhat when he provides literally no other interesting analysis to my football viewing

    Sorry for the rant

  20. Damn, I thought he was going to be Mr BBC in a few years time once he’s got his presenting skills locked, wonder who will take over motd next

  21. I remember being shocked he was a presenter for FIFA for what I think was the World Cup draw.
