Last night’s roll call and then the speeches by the Obamas…it was just so good and pure and full of *hope*.

Clinton and Walz are the star attractions.

Buttigieg, Shapiro, Booker, and Moore are some of the Democrats that likely get prominent timeslots.

The iconic Pelosi definitely gets one.

Geoff Duncan, the former Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, likely gets the slot for a Republican horrified by Trump.

Yesterday was my first time I’ve ever seen a convention, but it was phenomenal and it’s gonna be hard to top. I’m *excited* though, for the first time ever

Looking forward to the third night of the DNC.

Glad we have this comment section as its playing. Makes watching it more fun.

(Now wondering if Navarro is going to show up again)

Remember, this is where we stand

*“No Kings Act” was introduced to ensure that U.S. Presidents and Vice Presidents are not above the law, responding to a Supreme Court ruling granting them broad immunity. The act seeks to limit the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction over presidential immunity cases. Concurrently, President Biden proposed Supreme Court reforms, including justices’ term limits and a judicial ethics code. The Judicial Conference recommended expanding the federal judiciary with new positions. These initiatives reflect Congress’s efforts to maintain checks and balances within the U.S. government’s structure. Concurrently, proposals for Supreme Court reforms, such as term limits for justices, are being discussed. These legislative actions are part of efforts to ensure no one is above the law and to maintain the balance of power within the federal government.*

Take the next step now, surely, schedule the Committee review asap. Dems, unite and support both of these in overwhelming support and unity. (only about 30 supported so far initially, it’s been 2 weeks)

*The “No Kings Act” is progressing through the U.S. legislative process, which includes* ***committee review, Senate and House debates***, and votes before potentially reaching the President for approval.

Looks like we will have to turn on the C-Span Capital building show. Hurry up (no time to waste).

  6. Again, Jake fucking Tapper just won’t get over Walz’s military service & fertility story … “he embellishes”

Fuck you Tapper. You sat there in silence while Trump outright lied repeatedly during the debate.

  7. Last night was *electric*, even watching from home. Looking forward to Shapiro and Clinton tonight

  8. When you see Clinton tonight and think ‘damn, he’s gotten really old,’ remember that he’s a couple of months younger than Trump.

  9. Bill Clinton will mark the third US President to speak at the DNC. Such a stark contrast to the RNC where basically any past office holder has been excommunicated in favor of Trump’s cult of personality. Like having Dubya speak as the elder statesman of the party should’ve been a friggin layup.

  10. Is there a YouTube copy of the little intro history video of Doug Emhoff from last night?

  11. I wish bill clinton wasnt speaking…. Hillary already said enough from the Clintons, bill should go back into the shadows where he belongs or in jail if he is really part of epsteins shit.

  12. They need more celebrities (actors, athletes) because those are the ones that go viral more.

And Harris still has to make up some lost voters (young males, black males, Latinos). Sometimes endorsements from major celebrities at the DNC are just enough to sway those really on the fence. Is it sad it’s like that? Yes. But that’s how it is when many younger voters don’t necessarily follow politics every day.

  13. Noob question: can a normal person go to the DNC? I was looking for tickets out of curiosity but saw none

  14. Excited to see my political boo, Cory Booker, tonight. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met and I’d run through a wall for that man. Or marry him. Either one.

Have we seen any consistent rebuttals from the Republicans opposing Harris? All I’ve seen are random attempts at hit articles that don’t gain much traction. Do they really have nothing yet? Do they think RFK Jr endorsing Trump on Friday is gonna be their equivalent of a “major event” to shake up the campaign?

  16. Does anyone think that Obama should and Michelle should have given speeches tonight, and then have Walz and Harris close tomorrow? It is unconventional, but I have a feeling the momentum would have been much more intense.
