The core-values that Don displays by his actions and words are disgusting. It is obvious that fraud and deception are key factors in every aspect of his life. Including his businesses, his personal life and his political career, demonstrated by the wake of destruction behind him and the shit-ton of litigation in front of him. Vote smarter than Don.

From the article:
Until two years ago, I was a full-fledged member of MAGA. I believed Trump; I was a MAGA pundit; I had my own podcast. I was in a state of panic, terrified that Democrats were destroying our country. When the pandemic hit, we needed leadership, but we were given almost nothing. It was a major betrayal to the country. So I finally stepped outside the MAGA echo chamber. I stopped listening to what Trump said and looked around with my own eyes, and I realized he had been lying about pretty much everything.
Lying is Trump’s toxic superpower. He’s ripped apart families, communities, our whole country. So this is my message to all the Republicans and independents who are watching—people like me who voted for and believed in Trump: I made a grave mistake, but it’s never too late to change your mind. You don’t need to agree with everything you hear tonight to do what is right. We need to be able to trust our leaders—that’s why I’m all in for Kamala Harris.
My opinion – the more grace we give these people the more people will find the off ramp. I applaud this man and others who are speaking out. Admitting you were wrong is not a weakness, it is a strength. Welcome back.

There is a part of me that believes that we absolutely have to give the sincere among these people with truly changed hearts a path back to being part of their communities in a healthy way.
But there is another, more cynical, part of me that realizes a good many of these people are just feigning disgust with Trump because he’s losing now, and they want to put the mask back on.
I believe the truth of what we must do is somewhere in between. People who have committed crimes and/or have aided, abbetted, or committed a fascist insurrection against the United States of America must be punished severely in a way that will serve as a warning to those that might think to try again. We must hold those responsible who have tried to destroy our society and way of life for their own selfish ends.
For those that merely share their views, we must judge them as a society for their actions, behavior, and speech and vehemently denounce them and their behavior when it shows publicly. Not with violence or punishment, but with correction and a conscionable intolerance for bigotry of all forms.
There is a road back from where we are now to a better place, but it is a long and hard one, filled with sacrifice, effort, and patience. It’s a journey that will test us and the caliber of our character.
I hope someday these rabid supporters of an insurrectionist, racist, misogynist, homophonic, transphobic, and classist narcissist can change their minds and grow as human beings to be something better. For now though, they must be viewed as untrustworthy and with caution as their movement is not yet defeated, and many will just as quickly pull the mask back off if the easy path of hate and violence seems feasible again.

It’s worth remembering that most of these Republican supporters of Harris are most likely not becoming Democrats. They simply realise the person put forward as the GOP nominee is a terrifically horrible choice. They learned their lesson after his first failed presidential term and are hoping to avoid the sequel.
