Cases like these are always strange to me in the multiple die except the person driving the car.

1. He didn’t have a driving license (provisional doesn’t count without a valid supervisor in the car)
2. for the damage both cars sustained he had to be going some.
Absolutely the right call here – though the driving ban could, and probably should, be longer.

Yeah, I’m calling bullshit on this. Convenient attempt to dodge accountability

Little prick. This is why children should NOT be allowed to drive.

I have a tiny bit of sympathy for him, having caused those deaths is a heavy burden, especially when so young.

Never driven it on a public road but decides to joyride it at over 60mph with three other kids?
The sheer audacity of this kid to think this wouldn’t go exactly how it did….

One thing I really hate is young people who don’t take driving seriously. To me, the fact that mine or someone else’s life could be ended out of sheer arrogance and stupidity is just loathsome.
I know that this can apply to anyone of any age, but young people in particular seem to think it’s funny when they carelessly piss about on the road.

Should have doubled the sentence for that fucking haircut.

This might be a controversial opinion but I think seventeen year olds are too immature to be put in control of a motor vehicle. They have the lives of themselves and everybody around them in their hands. This is somebody who is legally still considered a child. The driving age should be 18 minimum, maybe even as high as 21. Teenage boys are simply too impulsive and reckless as we see time and again in the news.

New Zealand has a law where drivers under 21 cannot have passengers under 21 in the car with them, unless also accompanied by an adult over 21. Need something similar here.

Jailed for four years and eight months and disqualified from driving for eight years.
He’ll be out in eighteen months or less, would have got a longer sentence if he posted online and offended someone.
The UK is basically a criminal’s paradise.

3 other people seriously injured and affected for life. He should get at least 10 years in prison.
