The unrest across the West Bank and the recent attempted Tel Aviv suicide attack (a joint Hamas- PIJ terror attack) is a throw back to the start of the second intifada, is the situation on the verge of a third one?

Sort of related question in recent years a lot of islamic terror groups have been moving away from suicide attacks now with drones being used by terrorists, cyber terrorist attacks, shooting attacks, ied style attacks, etc. do you think the Islamist terrorists are returning to suicide bombings? It a tactic almost impossible to stop, and the ideology of "martydom" in "jihad" has a framework for recruitment.

Is the West Bank situation and today attempted Suicide attack signs of a third intifada?

I don’t think so, simply because the Palestinian factions in the West Bank don’t have the organization, material, and unity to start something like the second intifada that happened two decades ago. You also have to take into account the fact Israel is constantly working on preventing it from happening (Security wall, Security checkpoints, Raids, Arrests, Targeted killing, etc) and the fact that the current Palestinian Authority doesn’t want a third intifada to happen too.

The unrest on the West Bank can be easily quelled – simply by stopping the illegal settlement program.
