  1. A friend of a friend works there – they’ve been making redundancies weekly for about 6 months now. People haven’t been working, just waiting for their name to be called. They’re dead.

  2. >the brand’s founder had asked young female members of staff to sit on his knee, cuddle him or let him massage their ears.

Another fine example of woke cancel culture…

  3. I bought 3 Ted Baker suits about 8-10 years ago, all of which I really like and have held up well. What happened to the brand?

I’m from Japan and I really loved this brand. Are there any good alternative UK brands that has the same spirit? Would definitely import.

  5. Coming soon to a Sports Direct store near you. Ted Baker socks at the till, suspiciously similar I’m appearance to the Slazenger socks you got last year. Polyester blend.

  6. I was in Ted Baker in the Metrocenter in Newcastle a few weeks ago and it was empty. It was surrounded by other empty shops that were also once department stores. I bought a shirt for my dad, and I asked the lonely sales attendant if this was the new norm, “Yeah, I guess” she said, “This store isn’t long for the world, they failed to innovate, the kids don’t care about branding, and the only people who come in here are old people who are buying a present for a loved one. Is this shirt for you?”

“No”, I said, “It’s a present for my dad”.

I thought it said Tom Baker and wondered where I was going to get my next scarf and jelly babies from.

  8. Damn I liked Ted Baker, probably my favourite deodorant and after shave came from there

  9. Unsurprising really as I think they were expensive – similar to Reiss – but at least with Reiss they are fashion forward.
