The concept of Service is alien to Trump. If people remember that, EVERYTHING he says and does makes sense.

That pervy candidate possibly thinks that “asinine” has something to do with sex.

Have the VFW commented on Trump before? He has a history of disrespecting the military

We may have actually reached a tipping point. The VFW condemning Trump will have consequences.

I suspect that it’s pretty rare that a VFW would *ever* make a comment like this about something a political candidate said unless it really had issues.

Trump has no idea what service is. He’s pathetically creepy and scummy.

> As the Hill notes, this isn't the first time Trump's remarks on the military has drawn consternation from the VFW: In 2020, Trump downplayed the traumatic head injuries suffered by 34 service members in Iranian airstrikes as "Headaches," with the VFW demanding an apology for that comment.
Yet most of them will still vote for the piece of shit.
I’m so fucking tired of this.
I cannot wait for Trump be done and out of our lives.

For non Americans, VFW is an *enormous* group. “Veterans of Foreign Wars” and they help their communities across the country.
VFW condemning Trump is a big deal

How a bunch of veterans could support this dummy will always baffle me. I am glad their organizations are finally waking up.

21 years of service here. Commanded a squadron. Derived the most satisfaction during my career from taking care of my officers and my sailors. I haven’t been able to stand this motherfucker from day one. Fuck him. Hope he has a fucking aneurism when Kamala wins.

I think Trump truly thinks that veterans are suckers, he got out of military service by cheating the system so he thinks cheating and getting away with it is “winning”, and thus he sees those who serve their country as fools and suckers for not being able to get out of service like him. This belief bleeds out continually in his speech and gives us a clear window into how he thinks. He truly does not know the definition of service or sacrifice for country.

As a vet I have never understood why military personnel would support this guy, he talked shit about McCain about being a POW, called fallen warriors suckers, this guy has no concept of honor.

Why do you suppose he even brought up the Medal of Honor?
You know it’s gotta be because he wanted to give THOSE out to his friends.

Pretty sure this is the 2nd or 3rd time they’ve had to make a statement like this about Trump. Yet people still vote for this guy.

Seems like the medal of freedom gets awarded to a lot of great people, but also many recipients of dubious merit. To me it seems like Trump lowered the bar even further with several of his honorees. Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes, Rush Limbaugh, and republican mega-donor Miriam Adelson? I’m surprised he didn’t award one to himself.

Will it have any meaningful effect on the % of Veterans voting? Christ I hope it does…

Damn. Post this in every VFW across America.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/vfw-condemn-donald-trump-asinine-comments-medal-of-honor-1235082395/) reduced by 60%. (I’m a bot)
