  1. *Trump and his company massively overvalued his assets, creating “a fantasy world” on the financial statements he gave to banks and others, Judge Arthur Engoron found in a lawsuit brought by the New York attorney general.*

*Trump’s Florida Mar-a-Lago club, for example, was overvalued on one financial statement by as much as 2,300%, the judge found.*

If he had to pay annual property (council) taxes based on it’s value, you can be sure he’d declare it’s worth half the actual price.

It’s not worth 40M he bought it for 30M if it’s worth between 34-38M it’s as much Trump is a fantasist who isn’t living in reality, yes it’s a very scenic course but it’s not worth that much. He under valued it for tax purposes here for that reason alone. He’s a dodgy dealer.

It said between 25 and 50. More interesting is that it’s saying that it’s generating roughly 1 million a month. That is way more than I would of guessed.

In sure the authorities in Ireland would be curious as to where this money is coming from. It wouldn’t be a great look if Ireland was turning a blind eye to back channel campaign donations.

Sorry, there seem to be some uninformed comments here, and as someone who worked as an analyst for one of the big hotel chains, it annoys me.

I don’t know if the same presumptions would be made about a hotel value if Trump’s name weren’t attached to the headline.

The hotel is valued at €200k per room. For context, Mount Juliet is on the market for €360k per room, and Kilashee sold for €180k per room. Doonbeg is should be somewhere in the middle.

After looking online, Kilashee generates about €15 million per year, so if Doonbeg only makes €12 per annum, it might suggest they aren’t running it efficiently. But it’s hard to judge without seeing metrics like Occupancy, RevPAR, and EBIT.

Based on the article, I don’t see any reason to suggest that anything is off or that the hotel is over or undervalued

Ha are you sure he didn’t mean $1bn as he said the Mar-a-lago estate was worth at least $1bn if not more.

Even though all neighboring sites are worth 50-70million HIS is $1bn
