Edit: I originally asked why the Leeds rioters weren’t in prison, but the person below has informed me that he has been charged (but plead not guilty) so is awaiting trial. I had looked this up but obviously not very well. I apologise for this post, I was wrong.

>Elsewhere, Paul Williams, 45, was jailed for two years and two months for being at the “forefront” of what a judge described as an “orgy of mindless destruction, violence and disorder” in Sunderland, having originally popped into the city centre to collect a takeaway.
>Newcastle crown court heard how he threw metal fencing and a can of beer at police after goading officers during the rioting in Sunderland on 2 August.
>Williams shouted, “Put your shields down and let’s go, let’s fucking go” and took his shirt off as he squared up to police, running at the line of riot shields, the court was told.
I have to say I have to sympathise here.
Many’s the time I’ve popped out for a takeaway only to find myself ripping my shirt off and challenging the local constabulary to a WWE style Royal Rumble!

Is anyone else worried that all these jailed twats are going to learn nothing in prison, and in fact might just become further radicalised or radicalise others as a result?

I was wondering what his priors were, which I’m sure didn’t do him any favours in his sentencing:
> Wilkinson, who had 72 previous offences on his record, admitted racially aggravated criminal damage, violent disorder, and attempted arson and was jailed for a total of six years.
Just another upstanding citizen with “legitimate concerns”, lol.

I can’t imagine what those poor people must have felt in the car, and the composure they had not to run these absolute bastards over ( would that have been self defence? ).
