Quote: “Between the ages of 12-16, you start to build an identity ‘the self’ and you must get it from a close connection in the context you are in, because otherwise it will be a very fragile identity, mental illness as you can see”

What she said is a timeless statement that applies to everything and everyone, regardless of era. Then there is a story out there:

“Two twin boys were raised by an alcoholic father. One grew up to be an alcoholic and when asked what happened he said: – I watched my father.
The other grew up and never drank in his life. When he was asked what happened he said: -I watched my father.
Two individuals, same dad, two different perspectives. Your perspective in life will determine your destination.
We can be a victim of life or the victor”

Psychologists claim that it all goes back to childhood. So if we take the twin case as an example. It sounds like one twin dealt with his trauma by seeing a psychologist, which is why he has the bright outlook on life that he does. And the other still has unprocessed trauma.

There are those who blame victims because it was their fault for not doing something about their situation right then and there.

Victims being transparent with their trauma means they are in an ongoing process of processing something that has manifested late in life. They share their story to break the stigma around mental illness.

What are your observations? Welcome to discuss and share your arguments in a good tone.

Vi borde kanske inte ta bort telefonen utan fixeringen vid telefonen är snarare ett tecken på att livsituationen runt barnet inte är tillräckligt stimulerande. Vi har haft fundamentalt samma skolsystem i över 100 år minst.
