  1. I’m praying for an October implosion so we can get all three branches and fucking end this bullshit.

  2. Landslide in popular vote is a given.

Landslide in electoral votes is gonna be a big challenge.

Barring a complete collapse of Trump’s campaign (possible!), what we’re headed for is a nail biter. I find headlines like this irresponsible. Let’s not talk about landslides when we’re up like 2.6% nationally right now and barely out of the margin of error in the swing state polling.

There’s still a lot of work to do and that’s not going to change until Kamala has won this race and been successfully sworn in.

  4. Still should go out and vote. But it really does feel more like 2008 than 2016

We haven’t even seen the bump from the DNC or debates yet

Let’s not start sucking each dicks just yet. Dukakis was up by 17 and lost.

  6. They say a landslide has happened “only 7 times in the last 50 years.” There have been 13 presidential elections in that time period, so this would perhaps be better phrased “over half of the presidential elections in the last 50 years have ended in a landslide.”

Obviously I hope Harris wins in a landslide, but these Newsweek articles are just trash most times.

Cool! I still don’t trust it. Everyone go vote! More people that vote the better. Every single US citizen who is registered should vote.

I agree, but i wont celebrate until Wolf Blitzer says the magic words in November

  10. The X factor is the abortion vote. We have seen several results now since *Dobbs* where Democrats completely blew out predictions because women – even Republican women – are motivated AF right now to protect their (and their daughters’) rights.

Yeah, this kinda click bait gets everyone to assume she’s going to win by a blow out and take a breather like they thought with Clinton. Get you and your friends ass out to vote and don’t think about anything else.

Shame. In the UK we had a glorious trouncing of the corrupt Tories but the polls predicted it for over a year. Puzzled by how little the voting patterns change in the US despite very different candidates.

Harris cannot get complacent from the polls. She needs to keep pushing to convince more and more people to vote and to vote for her. If there is a landslide or a blue wave it needs to be so large that it is a rebuke of everything MAGA stands for.

  14. I wouldn’t rest on polling numbers. Hillary was ahead in polls and look at what happened there. Get the fuck out and vote no matter what.

  15. foot on the gas. would like to keep the ole’ “American Experiment” around for a few more years..

Permission to ask a naive question?

Do they base the results of people’s answers on historical percentages of voters? And if so, is it reasonable to think they’re vastly underestimating how many more people are going to turn out this year such that her lead is actually larger?

It’s a start. The only way this happens is by reminding, begging, and pleading with literally everyone you know to register to vote, [check your registration to vote](https://www.usa.gov/confirm-voter-registration), and then actually vote. If you are in a swing state or in a state where it is notoriously difficult to vote (like Texas, Georgia, or Florida) even more so. This is going to be the most important election (so far) of our lifetime. If you can afford to chip in $5 to a local democrat race, please consider it. Many can use it.

  18. Careful now. Complacency is part of how Clinton lost in ‘16. Every Dem voter right now should be trying to convince Kamala’s team that they’re NOT voting for her. Make them keep campaigning hard til the last hour.

  19. Electrowhatt19 on

Let’s make this actually happen. Get out and vote! Bug everyone you know to vote as well.

Trumps chances of losing in a landslide are roughly 50%. His chance of winning in a landslide is 0%.

  21. It honestly should be a landslide. If it’s not, Americans have real issue with allowing the dumbest people in the country to chose a complete idiot.

As a first time Voter, i am Happy to say i would vote Democrat because the party aligns with my moral compass.

Nope, vote. It will close because the Rs will cheat in the hopes of having a wackadoodle SCOTUS do right by god. Ugh

2016: “Hillary’s chances of winning a landslide, according to polls”

Don’t trust the polls. Get out and vote.

  25. Weepingwillow36 on

Don’t forget they had Hillary ahead in the polls too. The polls are not always correct make sure you get out there to vote so she can win.

  26. Traditional-Yam9826 on

    Who cares means nothing.

__KAMALA WILL LOSE!! IF YOU DON’T VOTE!!__

Plus there is the very real chance Trump will rig and steal this November
