    It’s hard to see a future for ULA when even a company who has yet to put anything into orbit – Blue Origin – will likely surpass them within a year. I don’t know why they haven’t been bought yet, but my guess at this point is people think ULA will be much cheaper in the future as they lose their market position.

    The metaphorical nail in the coffin will be the NSSL Phase 3 Lane Two contract. If SpaceX wins it will be bad, but if Blue Origin cannibalizes some launches as the third option it will be even worse.
