The Japan Meteorological Agency continues to urge caution against a possible mega-quake in the Nankai Trough along the Pacific coast.
The special advisory was issued on Thursday after a quake of magnitude 7.1 struck off Miyazaki Prefecture.
A tremor in Miyazaki City at around 7:42 a.m. Sunday registered a maximum intensity of 3 on a Japanese scale of 0 to 7.
The agency says no irregular changes have been observed so far in the crustal strain.
