    This is fantastic news, as well as the other bits mentioned in the article. Feels like we’re at the start of a period of time where in a few years we’ll actually be happy with our train service.

    Great news but the galway line should be treated as a committee service. Galway athlone every hour

  3. My daughter was on the afternoon Dublin to Westport train on Monday. After a 4 1/2 hour stop in Kildare (they weren’t allowed off in case the train got the go ahead to continue), and an eight hour journey, she got to Westport at 2:15am Tuesday.

    Kisoghe station is a great addition although still think it’s mental there’s no station between Park West & Heuston.  Longest rail stretch with no stop within Dublin City.
