Authorities in the Kursk region reported the destruction of drones and missiles
Acting governor Alexei Smirnov says Russian air defense system shot down six drones and five missiles over the Kursk region. The situation escalated on the morning of August 6, when Ukrainian units tried to occupy a part of the territory of the Sudzhansk region. Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov described the situation as largely under control.

Armenian Tobacco Company launches cooperation with British Imperial Brands group
Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan attended the official launch of cooperation between Armenian Tobacco Company (ATC) and Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken GmbH. In 2024-2027 more than 13 billion drams are to be invested in ATC as a result of which 200 more jobs will be created. Product quality control will be carried out by Imperial Brands, which is in Fortune Global list of the world’s 500 largest companies.

Armenia’s construction sector grew to over 202 billion drams (in current prices) in the first six months of 2024, up 15.7% compared to the same period of 2023.
