Recommendation regarding ongoing fires in Montenegro

Few months ago with a group of my friends we made a decision to go on a trip to Montenegro for vacation this year. For our stay we rented an apartment in Monk
We are all excited to explore your beautiful country and honestly counting days left to the arrival 😄, which will happen on 16.08.2024.
However, yesterday we checked news and got concerned about safety in the Kaluđerac region because of ongoing massive fires 😔. We symphatize with you 🥺 and hope that government will manage to quickly bring it under control, to limit ongoing damage🤞

Could you, as the local community, shine a light on the current situation? Are fires under control? If you are living in that region, what is the current state – e.g. are there any additional difficulties that you have to deal with in terms of:
– Transportation (blocked roads)
– Air/environment pollution
– Any other aspects that we should be aware of?

Would you recommend us any region that could be safer, but still as charming as Kaluđerac?
