Too expensive to police all the roads, need to put technology in the car to stop people from driving crazy

  2. Cameras on busses, average speed cameras on main roads and importantly making a web portal to upload GoPro evidence, none of this crap about having to bring it physically to a station.

The fact is, the measures to enforce are available, they’re just unpopular.

And for some reason if a few TDs pop up and do a Healy Rae on it, the whole country will capitulate.

To be honest, I’m happy to give Kerry an exemption. Go ahead lads drink your heads off and belt down those boreens to bejaysus.

In Dublin, enforcement and no bullshit about it thank you very much.

  3. I was in Galway last week, garda all over a junction at every side. Lads stopping in the box junction stopping all traffic trying to get through the junction, every second car on their phone. Garda did nothing. Friend was rear ended by a woman texting the other day. There is more to road policing that just speed.

Side note, was passed by a bunch of asshats in high end sports cars with stickers from this company. Overtaking on double whites *with* oncoming traffic, overtaking on single lane roundabouts, generally being complete dicks to everyone else on the road.

Basically racing on public roads as a business and I want to call it out. How is this ok?
