Hi, when I was flying back to Zurich from Barcelona last weekend, at the drop-off zone, I spotted a Porsche with what I thought were Swiss (Zurich) Number plates.
However, when I looked at them closely, I realised that the font slightly differs from the Swiss number plate.
I have attached a picture of the rear plate below (the front plate was also different).
Is there a good reason for the font to be different? Or was someone using fake plates? I hope I am not breaking any laws by posting such a picture.

There are only bad and illegal reasons.
That feels like someone repainting their plate to dodge automated radars.
Probably the owner lost his plate and temporarily replaced it with this piece of cardboard while waiting to receive a new one from the registration department.
It’s not illegal if the number is legitimate, the insurance is up to date and if the owner has declared the loss.
I’m pretty sure this is the font used on German plates
Also, isn’t there a service to check who this plate belongs to?
There are other cases, including the not-quite-right font.
