Did you scan the bigass QR code?
Write in both “Betrag” fields 40. – And in the “Zahlbar durch” fields your name.
Go to a post office and pay CHF 40. Keep the paystub (Empfangsschein) you get for the next 3 years.
PS: Looks like you parked for a bit longer than you should have. CHF 40 is the lowest parking fine you can get.
If it’s a legit ticket (I don’t know how they look like nowadays) then yea, just go ahead and do a bank transfer to that IBAN and add the additional information in the message box.
At least I assume bank transactions in Europe are that easy. If not, just look up if you have to provide other information such as the routing number etc.
In Switzerland, the QR code you see is what we use these days. With your banking app you just scan it and it autofills everything. You basically just authorize the payment.
And if you do the transaction, I’m sure you can set it to CHF and the bank will charge you probably not only for an international wire but also for the exchange rate.
You could also create a Revolut account, charge your account with euro (do not use credit card), convert it to CHF and make a payment from Revolut to the IBAN on your ticket.
That would probably be the cheapest option since Revolut does not charge you up to 1000 Euro for converting money and there won’t be any international wire charge because Revolut has bank accounts in every country so when you convert Euro to CHF, your CHF is held on a swiss bank account from Revolut.
You can pay it with a bank transfer to the mentioned IBAN of 40CHF and just add 832 in the communication field of the transfer.
