CNN and other US media outlets report Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for November’s election.
Harris is set to officially become the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee after Joe Biden backed out of the race last month.
Harris has secured support from 99 percent of delegates in online voting… and if she wins in November, she’ll be the first woman to serve in the Oval Office.
She’ll be the second female presidential nominee put forward by the Democrats… after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ran in 2016.
Like Clinton, Harris will be facing off against Republican nominee, and former president, Donald Trump.
