Great act of solidarity but not in line with GFA.

That being said we need this kind of solidarity to make sure the GFA is followed.

  2. A border poll would fail whole-heartedly currently, if we were serious about it we would have already been discussing the actual changes that would need to happen 10 years ago.

Most voters up North who would be in favour of a united ireland are not going to vote in favour if there’s no plan in place, they’d be voting against their own wellbeing and wallets

Considering its been nearly 25 years since

A NEW BEGINNING: POLICING IN NORTHERN IRELAND
THE REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT COMMISSION ON POLICING FOR NORTHERN IRELAND
    Published September 1999.

We have yet to see its full implementation.

I doubt the UK Government will ever fully implement the Good Friday Agreement.

    Let alone a border poll.

Ahhhh yes, the influential and well respected Diane Abbott. Bound to work so….

Sounds like she wants it to fail because it would fail massively if called right now and everybody knows it.

A lot of talk about solidarity. Diane Abbot basically said that the Irish, Jewish people and Travellers faced similar prejudice to redheads but not racism. Not too sure I trust her judgement.
