  1. Lets not get carried away. 95% of the time Olympic medals come down to well off people being able to access middle class facilities and expertise.

  2. Are we like the brits now lads? Trying to take credit for other countries accomplishments as our own?

    I think we can be very proud of the team we have.

  3. Cmon now, if we’re claiming stuff we aren’t entitled to we might as well claim that horse Grafton Street who won and the Hungarian swimmer Hubert Kos whose father is supposedly from Cork

    Just because some of those names may be common here does not make them Irish names. Burgess, Best, Brown, Harris and Wilde are all names of English origin. Fox could be either Irish or English.

  5. OK, Wiffen isn’t just a prod name, wasn’t he born in England and does all his training in Loughborough. (Could be wrong)
