Japan’s Murao Sanshiro had to settle for silver in the men’s judo 90-kilogram division at the Paris Olympics.
Murao faced defending champion Lasha Bekauri from Georgia in the final on his Olympic debut on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old Murao and his opponent won one waza-ari each.
But in the last minute of the match, his opponent scored another waza-ari, clinching gold.
