TDLR: i’ve been teaching myself more about lithuanian culture due to being cut off from that side of my family, and made some potato pancakes for nostalgia! feedback and suggestions on how to find more info would help me immensely!

hi.
i’ve got lithuanian on my maternal side, but due to going no contact with my mother and her cutting my off from her side, i don’t know much about the lithuanian side of my family.
since then, i’ve been teaching myself about the culture and language slowly through online videos and food, as i remember a couple recipes my great-nonna (papa’s mother who moved to australia from lithuania) passed down to my mum and i grew up with!
i did some research and found a recipe for potato pancakes that i finally tried this afternoon and they were delicious! they definitely brought back some good memories and i wanted to share the recipe here for feedback and inspiration for others here in a similar situation as me!
if anyone has some suggestions for where i can go or how i can learn more about my lithuanian heritage or the language, i would love to know more! thank you!
