Aliyev recently stated that Azerbaijan was getting more support from Trump’s administration with regards to Armenia and Artsakh. They are disappointed in the current democratic administration with regards to the same thing.
Here are the relevant parts from a recent interview:
if you look at the development of our relationship, particularly the visible aspects, of course, with the Republican administration, our relations have always been much more productive, fruitful, and result-oriented. You can just look at my communications with American leaders and presidents, and everything will be clear. During President Trump’s presidency, we enjoyed very fruitful cooperation based on mutual respect and appreciation of each other’s support on different tracks. Our relations with the United States were pretty stable. Despite the ups and downs, which were not initiated by us. There were just exaggerated expectations from Azerbaijan that did not materialize.
.
We are deeply disappointed with the attitude of this American administration towards Azerbaijan. A one-sided approach, attempts to build dividing lines in the Caucasus, a very strange meeting between the US Secretary of State, the President of the European Commission, and the EU High Representative, and Mr. Pashinyan on April 5th in Brussels, and attempts to finance Armenian military buildup through the so-called European Peace Facility. You know how they call it – the Peace Facility. And all that is against us, and this is absolutely unacceptable. We openly, sometimes publicly and sometimes privately, deliver the message that Azerbaijani interests in the Southern Caucasus must be observed. If anybody wants to ignore our interest, it will be a mistake, a miscalculation, and again, a disappointment. So, I hope that changes will occur, regardless of the outcome of the presidential elections.

Wow, an authoritarian dictator who loves Trump. I’m shocked, SHOCKED I tell you!!!
Who would have thought that Mr. America first always seems to have fruitful relationships with people who would love to see America last?
It is amazing how evil tends to like each other. Like a rule in this world
Aliyev: We like Trump. Democrats are harder to work with.
ANCA: TIME TO ENDORSE RFK JR
Vote democrat you Americans
And yet the idiot ARF/Tashnags who love to warmonger about Pashinyan giving up Artsakh, that we are gonna reclaim Wilsonian Hayasdan any day now, and that Biden hasn’t helped Armenia, will continue to vote for Trump & Republicans
You hear that ANCA?
I am glad all these pieces of garbage, are actually saying the quiet parts out loud.
This is great, because it becomes super easy to show the pro Trump Armenians and pro Putin Armenians , that the analysis of the experts was correct.
With these facts being publicly available, those people can only go back to “personal preference” as an excuse, and can’t justify it by any form of logical reasoning why Trump is great for us, or why we should stay within Russian dominated orgs.
Lukashenko basically said “I was planning the attack on Artsakh with Aliyev”, and the other day the Russian talking heads basically said “we can’t wait for Trump to win”.
I think Trump second administration will not be like the first one. For example, he will have more people who are stronger Christian nationalists who are more likely to be pro Armenia 🇦🇲 the first administration was a lot of neocons who support Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 just because they have oil and they are more supportive of Israel 🇮🇱 which is rare for a Muslim majority country…
I predict Trump will either not intervene much or he will try to strike some deal.
The fact people bag on Biden after 100 years of demanding recognition and he’s the one that did it. But honestly whose cares vote for your interests in America and world peace. Don’t become a block that the parties can use at their whim.
Don’t worry, the dolts in the diaspora will still vote for Trump.
