Hello everybody,
My girlfriend and I were talking a walk outside our appartment building and we noticed this little bird on the ground not far from a tree that seemed injured.
I tried to touch it hoping it would fly away but it just walked a bit and then I noticed its right wing was looking really bad. The moment it moved and walked a bit, the bird started screaming and some other birds that looked older started flying around and making noises – could the bird’s mother be looking around for her baby ?
We tried to call the Vogelwarte hoping to get some information, but they weren’t reachable.
For now we went back to our place but we might check on the bird later.
Does anybody have any advice on what should we do in this kind of situation ?

We live in Biel if it’s relevant
Put it in a cardboard box as described here in the guide: https://www.vogelwarte.ch/modx/de/voegel/ratgeber/vogel-gefunden Caution: Better don’t touch with bare hands.
Leave it, it’s a young bird and mother is still around to feed it. They cant fly properly yet so it will be hopping around mostly.
If it’s injured I would tray again at the Vovelwarte. Or check if there’s a local vet that would be able to help. A broken wing in crows is not really different from a broken wing in parrots.
If not, please put it somewhere safe but closeby. Its parents are definitely aware of him fallen out of nest/being injured and will keep visting him.
