In November 1963, the 35th US President John F Kennedy was shot to death during a campaign parade in Dallas, Texas.
In June 1968, President Kennedy’s younger brother and former US Attorney General, Senator Robert Kennedy was gunned down shortly after winning the California presidential primary in Los Angeles.
In March 1981, the 40th US President Ronald Reagan was shot in the chest outside a hotel in Washington. He survived thanks to an emergency surgery.
