Major non-life insurance group Sompo Holdings and gym operator Rizap Group have jointly announced new services to improve the health of customers.
The two companies agreed a capital and business alliance in June. They say they will link their customer databases to provide insurance, health checkups and gym training plans.
These include insurance products that encourage visits to Rizap gyms.
The companies say they want to promote better exercise habits as people become more anxious about future health care.
Okumura Mikio, Group CEO of Sompo Holdings says, “We want to help build a society where people can regard aging in a positive manner.”
Rizap Group President Seto Takeshi says he hopes the new services will promote habits to help prevent disease and improve health.
