This morning I receive a message simply stating "ciao". The number comes from Bangladesh, this for me is enough to arouse some suspicion, not because it is racist but it is curious that they write to me from a country with which I have no relationship. I search online to see if Bangladeshi phone numbers have been associated with scams lately and my suspicions turned out to be true

I ask the woman if we know each other, so she replies by offering me a smart-working job offer for a tourist agency. He announced to me that the pay was around €200 an hour and that I shouldn’t have to work more than 2 hours a day (!). I keep asking for information, he tells me that the job would consist of writing fake reviews. He also proposed me a questionnaire whose completion would have been enough to credit me 5 euros. When I show him that posting fake reviews is a criminal offence, in response he sends me to hell.

Moral of the story: Don’t fall for these offers with absurd remunerations. Aside from the fact that they are suggesting that you carry out a behavior that is clearly prohibited by law, they are bait to try to bait you and empty your wallet. Most of you probably wouldn’t have fallen into this trap, but unfortunately there is no shortage of desperate people who will do anything to make ends meet. Furthermore, going to ferret out these people – living in non-EU countries – I find it difficult.
