Genocide means: “the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group”
So basically what EOKA did to Turkish Cypriots was a “failed genocide attempt” based on this text book meaning. There is nothing to be offended about it; I think both sides should accept some facts and move on to bring peace.
