Strip the propaganda way and what you see is russia is laying the legal ground work to have NK troops fight in ukraine. This is why they annexed the 4 areas in ukraine its for their internal legal purposes.

Meanwhile, neither country is under threat of attack. Quite the opposite in fact. Russia is currently bogged down in a botched invasion while continuously threatening to attack others and NK makes constant threats against SK, Japan, and the US.
Further, neither of these countries would even engage in direct combat for the other. They might send weapons but you won’t see NK and Russian forces fighting alongside each other much less one initiating a separate attack in support of the other.
