Twint scam

I just experience a new scam attempt on Anibis. See the screenshots attached.

The initial message sounded suspicious, but I wanted to give it a try. Either the payment was coming through right away or it was a scam.

I therefore decided to send my phone number. Of course he replied that there was an issue and that anibis would have sent me a message. At that point I was sure it was some sort of scam.

The sms came through and the sender was nicely “spoofed” but not the url. Of course I didn’t click.

I then generated an IP grabber link and sent it over hoping that he would click on it. The link was opened from Lagos, Nigeria.

The guy blocked me right away when I wrote “Nice try dude”. I then reported the account as a scam.
