We return to talking about the birth rate decline in Italy, and we usually focus on causes such as precarious jobs and houses at crazy prices. On the other hand, however, there are those who think that behind the collapse in birth rates there are other factors, such as the so-called “eco-anxiety”, that is, anxiety about the climate crisis and the fear of contributing to its worsening by procreating, and ‘antinatalism, the philosophy according to which bringing other human beings into the world would be immoral, as this article by Zeta Luiss explains (in English):
[https://zetaluiss.it/2024/03/29/ecoanxiety-antinatalism](https://zetaluiss.it/2024/03/29/ecoanxiety-antinatalism) But do you think it’s true? Have you ever heard someone you know say that he doesn’t want children because of the climate or because he is unethical?
