I am participating in a conference & in my research paper I analyse two famous poets – one is from my country and the other poet is from Azerbaijan (Khurshidbanu Natavan).

The problem is that some poems will be analysed in their native language whilst the other poems will be English translations, since (sadly) I do jot know Azerbaijani language.

I wanted to ask if the translations that I have found are any good. If they capture the poets emotions or at least thoughts. If those translations are accurate. (I understand that translations always will miss something that the original text possesses.)

I added the translations as photos (screenshots).

I would really appreciate your help!

  1. I checked the poem about Abbas, it’s actually impressive translation with the rhyme in place as well. But of course, it’s not gonna be the same, even for an average Azerbaijani it’s impossible to understand her poems as she uses Persian and Azerbaijani in sync. For you to find someone who understands this poem in original, and knows poetic English to cross-check is literally very hard.

I can confirm that this is a good translation that simplifies the message in a beautiful way.
