Aygehat, Lori. Villagers dance their unique solo dance “Balaetari”. Circa 1960s.

Unfortunately this dance is lost (as far as I checked) but based on the way they are dancing in this photo it looks to have been something similar to the popular Caucasian dances collectively known as “Lezginka” (which itself is a stupid Russian colonial term).

If you have any idea what the name means please do say.
