Return "Three sisters" (lit. three sisters) is located in the Prčanj settlement in Kotor. This is a typical medieval palace, it is believed that it was built sometime in the 15th century, it belonged to the famous Buća noble family from Kotor. What is interesting about this palace is a legend about the unhappy love of three sisters who were in love with the same guy.

Legend:

The three sisters, Fiomena, Gracijana and Rina, (or Nera, Bjanka and Roza) were known for their beauty and virtue. All three were in love with a young sailor named Jerko Novajanin. Jerko had an indecisive nature, all three sisters were beautiful and nice to him, but he could not decide which one to take as his wife. In order to choose one of the sisters, he decided to go on a long voyage, and he would take the sister who would be waiting for him on his return as his wife. All three sisters were impatiently waiting for Jerko, every day they stood at the windows and looked at every ship and sailboat, thinking that Jerko was in one of them. Years passed, the sisters grew old, and Jerko never returned to Kotor. The eldest sister died first. When she died, the middle and the youngest bricked up her window, so that Jerko would know which of them was no longer waiting for him. After the older sister, the middle one also died, while the younger one was building her window in the palace. The youngest sister was the last to wait, but soon she too died. When she died, no one built her window, so it remained open. Jerko never returned, and from her window you can see a beautiful view of the sea.

This palace is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Kotor, however, most tourists get excited when they hear the legend behind it.
