Was thinking the same couple of days ago. Even more bizarre is how badly we are advertising gata. It should be as strongly associated with Armenia(ns) as khachapuri is for kartvelians.

    0 PR savvy.

  2. What’s the best place to get patisserie in Yerevan? I usually go to “mom’s little bakery” which tastes very good…but wondering if there is anything better than that🤔

I love the Armenian version of Birds milk cake, it’s very similar to Mikado and very distinct.

If its called mikado is it even armenian?

    Also gata is dry af

Some of the world’s best chefs are armenian and yet can’t make a decent dish no other group of people in our area can claim ownership of.

  5. It is very popular in Czech republic under name Marlenka. It is made by armenian imigrant. 👍

  6. Wdym it’s not popular? Our Russian stores here sell it and it’s such a hit 💀
