Furthermore, in Miccichè, the magistrates deny having confirmed the false service missions declared by Maurizio Messina, an Ars employee who acted as his driver. A scam that would have brought undue compensation amounting to 10,736 euros into Messina’s pockets.

With the Audi of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, systematically parked at the driver’s home, 33 times, between March and November 2023, Miccichè would have made private trips, gone for medical visits, would have given lifts, on the way to Palermo – Cefalù and vice versa, to members of its secretariat, to family members and to people employed in the political staff and actually employed in the most disparate tasks: from cleaning, to swimming pool maintenance, to rodent control.

According to the prosecution, the vehicle was also used to bring cocaine to the politician and to have him deliver the food purchased to the restaurant of his friend Mario Ferro, the chef who was later investigated for drug dealing
