I have recently moved to Switzerland and have found that the tap/bottled water here is significantly high calcium that the water in my home country.
Every time I come to Switzerland I suffer from severe digestive issues that I do not have in other countries where the calcium content in the water is lower. This is the only difference I could possibly think of between what type of food/water I consume daily in my country and what I consume in Switzerland.
I know that distilled water is not safe if it is consumed long term/is your only water source. However, would it be safe to try drinking this water for a couple of days to and see if it makes any difference in how I feel? I could even mix a small bit of mineral water into it so that it is not completely void of minerals.
Overall my question is, has anyone ever used this type of water for drinking? Is anything unsafe for consumption added to this type of water in Switzerland?

Dont. Half a liter to a liter is considered the lethal dose.
No, it’s not safe for human consumption. Not because it’s distilled, but because the distilled water you can buy in the grocery store is simply not certified for human consumption and may contain germs and other contaminants that can be dangerous.
If you wish to “purify” your tap water, an affordable, safe, and reliable way of doing so is through a Brita filtration system:

Edit: I would like to emphasize that claims that DI water will cause your cells to pop, damage your stomach, or even kill you, are absolutely incorrect. It will also not “drain” your body of minerals or electrolytes. With water as a source of minerals gone, however, you’d have to replenish those through other means, e.g., through the food you eat.
And to avoid any further confusion: Brita doesn’t produce DI water. But it will reduce the mineral content to more manageable levels.
just get a filter (e.g. britta) and see if it helps, but do not drink distilled water
It is highly unsafe.
Distilled water contains no minerals at all. Your body needs salt and if the water doesn’t contain any, your stomach cells will lose theirs to balance it (I.E. they will burst) and it will hurt at lot.
If you want low calcium just buy Zurzacher or Volvic.

Volvic Naturelle is about 12.50 °fH / 7 °dH which is soft water.
