Im trying to make kebapi but i don’t understand what is this green thing? Normal paprika? Chili pepper? I live in Finland and never seen green pepper like this? Or paprika?

  1. Normal paprika or hot one depending on taste, baked in owen (or better yet, “grilled”)

It’s the kind of paprikas we eat, it can be as spicy as a chilli or have a similar taste to a bell pepper. Still my favourite time of paprika.

  3. That is roasted/baked pepper. It is usually spicy but it doesn’t have to be.
You haven’t seen it in Finland probably because it is not grown there.
You can use any pepper that is the most resembling to the one in the picture
And it is not crucial for the dish, it is more of a garnish than the main course

Koja je razlika između kebapa i ćevapa?

What s a difference btwn kebapi and cevapi?

  5. Its green pepper, can be spicy or not. Usually it’s spicy.
It’s baked or grilled, than you peal the skin off, and it looks like this.

  6. That’s a roasted green pepper. You roast it on the stove untill it chars and then you put it in a plastic bag. You let it steam for about 10 minutes then take it out to peel the char. After peeling you take one clove of garlic and crush it/mince it to a paste and you put the garlic paste in a cup of grape-based vinegar. Additionally you can also add chopped parsley to the vinegar for better taste like seen in the picture. You set the pepper in the new vinegar mix and you let it rest in it for a couple of minutes. This is our version of pickled peppers which is a great sidedish for kebapi. This can also be done with red bell peppers if you can’t find our green peppers, the taste doesn’t vary much

Try it 😁… probably hot as hell 😁.

Grilled paprika, one of the best delicacies you’ve ever tried. Could also be prepared as a salad with some garlic and parsley, mmmmm 🤤.
