Hi all! I’ve been invited by my bf and his family to visit Cyprus this summer. For background, they’re British-Cypriot (but only has UK passport) and I’m from Indonesia. I sent an email to the consulate of the Republic of Cyprus in Jakarta last year but they only provide me with the form and few other documents with very little information. So my question is;
-
Do I still need to provide the assumption of responsibility letter? If so, can I put my bf’s name? I’m very confused bc as you can see on the first picture it seems the host has to be someone you’re related with by blood 😅

If my bf host me, how is he gonna get the immigration officer in cyprus to stamp the bank statements?? Bc he’s from the UK.
I’m very sorry if this is not the right sub to ask, I’m just so lost bc there’s so little information about the visa bc everyone who goes to Cyprus seems to be using Schengen multi entry visa which i couldn’t get atm bc i’m not planning to go to other EU country, just Cyprus and UK after. It will be a great help if anyone can give me any information! Thank you ❤️

Regarding the first point, I think you should provide the assumption of responsibility letter but I’m not sure how good of an idea it is to say he is your boyfriend. Maybe it is fine but I didn’t think it was a good idea when I was travelling and just said she’s my friend. The host doesn’t need to be someone you’re related to. You can just skip that part of the form that you’ve shown.
Is your boyfriend a resident of Cyprus? If he’s just a tourist living here long term, I’m not sure if he can be considered a host to invite you. But that’s just a thought, he could check with immigration in Cyprus.
2nd, the immigration office doesn’t stamp the bank statements. Those need to be stamped by the bank themselves.
The 2nd photo attached , I never seen that form before and I travelled here a couple of times. The date on that form is from 2008. PLEASE make sure you have the correct forms. Go to the government website and look for the forms you need.
I think the section you highlighted is asking for two things. The first question asks what is the relation of host to the person being hosted (so he would put gf or partner). The other two questions ask if the person being hosted will also bring their housband/wife or kids so in your case you say no. You don’t need to be related by blood. I think the host has to be a resident of Cyprus though.
