Flashback to 2014, when Azerbaijan openly displayed its racism during Eurovision rehearsal results. The Azeri presenter avoided acknowledging Armenia and persistently named Greece instead. The intentional omission reached a point where an organizer had to intervene and reveal the results.
why did azerbaijan give armenia 8 points if they hate us? or did their people vote 8 points for armenia and shes being a nationalist cocklicker?

For anyone confused like I was, during the rehearsals, the countries are randomly assigned points to give to other countries. AZ didn’t actually give points to Armenia, but they were supposed to “fake” give those points in the rehearsal.

She could feel Aliyev’s giant nose breathing behind her neck.

It was just a rehearsal, but still embarrassing. Not surprised tho, I mean…they even went as far as arrested and interrogated people who voted in Armenia in 2009.

This single minded, obsessive hatred of us is why Artsakh is devoid of Armenians and scheduled for demolition.
I’d argue that Armenians need that sort of dedication to preserve what they have left – minus the cringe of course.

I mean…would you expect Ukraine cheerfully saying “8 POINTS TO RUSSIAAA!!” ?
No.
Well same.
That’s not racism, that’s called having a national dispute and war. I don’t expect Armenia to say 12 points to Azerbaijan and definitely won’t call it racism. It’s understandable reaction.
It’s a shame to the Eurovision delegation to not give a damn about ongoing conflict at a time.

Just a note to Redditors, especially the young and gullible, not everything is racism. Case in point, this is not racism.
