I received a letter today with my name and address handwritten. Inside is the following sheet from UBS. Is this a scam or an imposition of some unnecessary services?
Also, Is there a website here where you can check phone numbers? Like with reviews from other people. Google gives me some crap.

My mother received a similar letter (no hand written stuff though, thats weird) and after calling the official bank number it turned out to be real, could not believe it! They asked for some personal data – again, like a fucking scam – to verify a suspicious transaction.
So just contact UBS on their official number and ask.
You can send a message to your account advisor thorough the mailbox and verify.
That said, I recently got a cold call that seemed a lot like a scam to set up an appointment to talk about investments options. I requested they send it through the ubs mailbox and it did, happen.
Local.ch and search.ch are websites to look up phone numbers. Both had no results for the one on the letter. Also could not find the contact for the departmemt that sent the letter, which is weird. I would’t answer questions that this random phone number asks you, but you could call UBS directly or go in person.
I had a similar letter some time ago. I believe at least UBS, maybe also some other banks, introduced some regular check process to see if their data are up-to-date. “Regular” here probably means, once every 5 years or so.
However, I’d still be cautious, particularly if they give you some odd phone number you’re supposed to call.
I received the same but they could not recognize my signature… in the end i just closed my account it was too complicated
