I don’t understand why this is even controversial. Do you expect Armenia and Azerbaijan to stay in constant hostility forever, specially in our situation? Is it ideal? Of course not but the more commerce there is between the two countries the better.

“It’s 1942. France should buy oil from Germany”
What the fuck is this nonsense? You want two countries at war with fundamental political differences and an enormous legacy of unresolved trauma to start acting like friends at a moment’s notice? Broder geopolitical shifts or not, it’s not going to work.

The laugh I just let out…. yeah, the true Westernization is that, buying gas from AZ in the name of ‘reducing our dependency on Russian gas’…. but that also means we will also buy gas from Russia via Azerbaijan. I mean technically yeah, buying gas from different countries would be nice because depending on just one country for your energy is a bad choice. You’d always want to diversify it to secure your energy supply and need. But man, this just sounds like a shitty idea when we haven’t even solved any of our issues with Azerbaijan yet.

Oh boy. This is such a wrong time for a statement like this. People still don’t believe that there will be piece, and you jump 5 steps ahead and make such a statement.
On the other hand, nothing happens without a reason. Maybe he was intentional about it and was actually sending a message while understanding the wave of concerns it will raise within the country?
Who knows, it’s politics, and politics is hard to understand and/or reason about.

They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Literally selling the country to Turks. Have they forgotten how Azerbaijan cut off gas to us in the 90s? My mother is still traumatized from the darkness in those years; she feels uneasy whenever the power goes out.

This dude needs to be sent to the moon.
Diversify gas needs? You are diversifying with the least reliable state you can. Again, trust is the key to trade and alliances. Furthermore, as multiple people said, you are paying a country that is fully hostile to you.
I would ask this clown, do you trust AZ? If not, this idea is ludicrous. If you do, you are dumber than we all even thought.

I mean, WTF?
Why not create a new gas pipeline from Iran and become a transit country and use it for our needs?
This is so stupid. It’s basically another appeasement policy.

We dont know everything but as long as we dont have lasting peace with Azerbaijan we should not give them leverage where we rely partly on them for energy and then can cut it off anytime they want.
Its not long ago when they cut the gas to Artsakh to hurt Armenian people living there.
In the future if Azerbaijan has left our territory, signed a piece agreement with us with proper guarantees and stopped agressive rhetoric and claims on our land it can be an option.
Side note I rarely post here anymore but this week mojuba has banned people who disagree with him or his sources on quite loose grounds. Why is this?
He/She bans a user for not provding a source for something and says its agenda pushing.
Now in this topic he/she posts a link to an “expert” video and when people say its not a good source they get banned. Why?
