Lithuania delivered a new batch of military aid to Ukraine on Wednesday, October 30. The package includes, among other items, shells, mortars, and generators, citing the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

“Lithuania continues to support Ukraine. This week, significant military aid — generators, ammunition, mortars, and more—will reach the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure they are well-equipped to face the enemy this winter,” the statement reads.

The ministry recalled that, in response to Ukraine’s requests, Lithuania has already provided 155-mm artillery shells, M113 armored personnel carriers, anti-drone systems, winter gear, and clothing, Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launcher ammunition, RISE-1 remote detonation systems, generators, a loader, folding beds, and other supplies this year.

Since the start of the war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military support exceeding €705 million. Lithuania’s total long-term support for Ukraine has surpassed €1 billion.

Lithuania’s support for Ukraine

In August, Lithuania announced a significant military aid package for Ukraine, which includes, among other items, short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and anti-drone equipment.

Later, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said that by the end of autumn, Lithuania plans to deliver over 5,000 drones to Ukraine.

It was also recently reported that Lithuania plans to provide additional aid to Ukraine worth €40-50 million by the end of this year. So far in 2024, Vilnius has already sent aid worth €153 million to Kyiv.
